Community Group Rallies Neighbors to Stop Behind Closed Doors
Recently an attorney representing the Northwest Side Community Coalition sent a detailed letter to Mayor Emanuel and Assistant Commissioner Hicks, Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, asking that they deny a business license to Behind Closed Doors. There is considerable evidence the owner plans to operate a nightclub and not a small banquet hall as she claims.
To help make sure that the letter receives attention, please sign a petition to Emanuel and Hicks, asking them to protect our neighborhood by denying Behind Closed Doors a license to operate.
Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here’s the link: http://chn.ge/1b7sAWl
Here’s why it’s important:
Behind Closed Doors wants to open a nightclub in our neighborhood. The last time that happened, we had people coming from all over the city and parking on side streets in Galewood and Oak Park. They sat in cars drinking, doing drugs and having sex. They urinated in alleys. They left trash including used condoms and syringes. Please don’t let this happen again! Check out this story on BCD http://oakpark.suntimes.com/news/behind-OAK-11212013:article. Then please sign the petition.
