Chemical Smell at Burbank Elementary School
UPDATE: CBS Chicago reports three teachers were taken to the hospital after someone released pepper spray in the school. None of the more than 1000 students were evacuated.
The Chicago Tribune reported two adults were taken to area hospitals due to a chemical odor at Burbank Elementary, 2035 N Mobile Ave. The adults were in good condition at the time the story was reported. An EMS Plan 1 and a Level 1 Hazmat were called to the school including five ambulances. Pepper spray may have been released outside the building and brought into the facility through the ventilation system.
