ANOTHER New Location for March 30 Aldermanic Forum

Organizer Marilyn Craig has confirmed that the local forum scheduled for 7pm Wednesday, March 30 will take place, though at a different venue than originally announced. The forum will now be held at St. William School’s Liebrich Hall, 2559 N. Sayre, Chicago. Another update, it has been moved again, to Montclare Leyden VFW, 6940 W. Diversey Avenue.

In an email sent to the press and the community today, Ms. Craig writes:

…I received a written acknowledgement just over a week ago from Mr. Rice, who is unable to attend on Wednesday, March 30. He encourages everyone to watch him and Mr. Sposato on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight at 7pm on Monday, March 28. As the election gets closer, however, I encourage Mr. Rice to attend our forum should his schedule allow. Mr. Sposato has confirmed his attendance.

Both candidates are asked to prepare formal 5-minute opening and closing remarks, between which we’ll have a moderated Q&A forum for about 30-40 minutes. We’ll then include selected written questions from the audience. We plan to be through by 8:15pm.

If only one candidate attends, we’ll start with the prepared opening statement, followed by a few questions from the moderator, then use the questions from the attendees, perhaps for 45 minutes. Afterwards, we can conclude with a candidate/s meet and mingle…
